Antiguo Acueducto del río Piedras, San Juan

Map of Life

For the last couple of years, people committed with nature in Puerto Rico have come together in outings specially designed with a mission: drawing a Map of Life. Be it high atop the mountains or below the canopy of humid tropical forests, through coastal wetlands or crossing a river, hundreds of volunteers have already begun gathering and recording observations on reptiles, plants, birds, insects and water in every unique adventure. Join the effort!

Please note: Participants must be 12 years old or older, and be willing to carry out physical and/or manual labor, hike through uneven terrain and be exposed to diverse field conditions, including variable weather and the flora and fauna of the area, among others.
